How I prepare (this is where good nights are made)
The work happens before the night. Every booking includes a run-sheet working session with your organisers; research on your organisation, audience and VIPs so introductions are warm and specific rather than read cold; pronunciation checks on every name; and a contingency plan for the things that go wrong at live events. Clients say the same thing afterwards: he did his research and read the room. That's not talent talking — it's preparation.
